About Evan Ranieri
Recently our little guy made it thru transplant! I apologize for the lack of updates and information on our COTA page but I know that we have a huge following on Facebook, "Evans ORGANizers", (link below) and we have really appreciated the love and prayers from across the country during this time. Many of you know Evans mom was his donor. Melissa and Evan are both recovering well and recent labs and check ups have gone greatly for both.
The Ranieri’s want to thank you for the success and effort put forth in raising funds and awareness on Evans behalf as well as the support for their entire family. While our local team will continue to advocate for Evan as he goes thru this new chapter his parents wanted to thank you all for your support and encouragement, especially in thru the past year of trying times regarding Evans declining health and thru the upcoming months of his fragile recovery and bright healthy future ahead!
In Riverview volunteers are raising funds for COTA in honor of transplant patient like local toddler, Evan Ranieri. Many people are not aware that even a “newly” donated kidney can go into rejection at any time and the need for intervention later in life is inevitable. Evans family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-needy patients. COTA’s services are completely free of charge and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
Please help us share Evans story. He is a fighter and has brought so much joy to the lives around him- our hope is to raise funds to support medical related expenses. Even once the goal is met the Ranieri's plan to continue raising funds and awareness in order to plan for future and additional medical expenses thru childhood. The Ranieri’s are also striving to increase the number of registered organ donors with sharing Evans story of hope and strength thru the Tampa Bay community.
